We recently had a need to transport an 85 lb. Golden Retriever from upper New York state to our home in western North Carolina. I had previously contacted P.E.T.S. in the spring of 2017 about a potential transport from the same location, but the acquisition fell through. When I got an opportunity to get another Golden (a champion no less) I immediately called Mike (the owner) because he had worked closely with me on the previous attempt. After a few minor detail changes, we put the plan in motion.
All arrangements and rendezvous were punctual and as planned. Their driver, Keith, was very helpful. You could feel and tell he knew what he was doing. We got to know each other pretty well on the journey (I was a ride-along owner) and when we finally got home (after a 13 1/2 hour ride), my wife made him a sandwich and because of the lateness of the hour we invited him to spend the night with us! he accepted.
I don’t know if Ill ever get an opportunity to get another dog like Gibbs, but if I do and it involves another overland transport, I’ll be calling P.E.T.S.
